MOPH food-safety inspectors sample foods on the market, and Decree 71/1983 punishes anyone who knowingly offers contaminated, spoiled or expired food. No rule read names the party who must appear on the label.
Article 8 of Decree 71/1983 has Lebanon follow the Codex Alimentarius standards issued by WHO and FAO, and the MOPH food-safety page lists Codex and LIBNOR standards as the adopted references. No Lebanese label text was read.
